LaStone Therapy is a specialized form of massage that combines heated basalt stones with cooled marble stones to create a full-body thermotherapy experience. While deeply restorative, this contrast therapy involves both heat and cold applications, which carry unique considerations. Please read carefully before consenting. Contraindications LaStone Therapy may not be appropriate if you have: Cardiovascular concerns (uncontrolled high/low blood pressure, heart disease, pacemaker) Circulatory or vascular conditions (Raynaud’s, varicose veins, blood clots, edema) Diabetes or neuropathy (reduced temperature sensitivity) Pregnancy (unless cleared and modified session provided) Recent injuries, fractures, open wounds, or acute inflammation Skin conditions (eczema, dermatitis, rashes, sunburn, or recent cosmetic procedures) Sensitivity to temperature extremes, migraines triggered by heat/cold, or compromised immune function If you are unsure, consult your physician before scheduling this treatment. Risks & Responsibilities Stones will always be tested for safety, but please communicate immediately if heat or cold feels too intense or uncomfortable.
